Manchester City Chelsea Final

Manchester City Edge Past Chelsea to Reach FA Cup Final

Silva's Late Winner Sends Citizens to Wembley

Silva Strikes Late as City Keep Hopes of Double Alive

Manchester City bounced back from their disappointing Champions League quarter-final exit to Real Madrid with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final. Bernardo Silva scored the only goal of the game late on to send the Citizens to the final at Wembley.

City dominated possession but struggled to create clear-cut chances against a resolute Chelsea defense. The Blues, on the other hand, had several good opportunities to take the lead but failed to capitalize on their profligacy.

Silva eventually broke the deadlock in the 83rd minute, firing home a low shot from the edge of the area after a neat exchange with Kevin De Bruyne. Chelsea pushed for an equalizer in the closing stages but could not find a way through City's well-organized defense.

The win keeps City's hopes of a domestic double alive. They have already won the Premier League title and will now face Liverpool in the FA Cup final on May 29th.

For Chelsea, the defeat means they finish the season without a major trophy. They had been the favorites to win the FA Cup after winning it in 2018 and 2020, but they came up short against a determined City side.
